Subject: [MCOH-EH] Medical staff compliance with vaccination requirements

·         Do any of your organizations require compliance with your immunization requirements for active/inactive medical staff/LIPs during initial credentialing or recredentialing? YES-anyone working  our organization must be UTD on all requirements. Inactive staff do not unless s/he wishes to become active.

·         Do you provide this service in your occupational/employee health department? For active staff yes.

·         Do you charge the medical staff or LIPs for this service or provide it free? No

·         What do you do if the do not comply..does it hold up their credentialing? Yes

We are proposing to make this part of the credentialing packet.  We have always required it, but didn’t sink any teeth into the program and have a dismal compliance rate as we were only requiring an attestation to be signed without documentation.    Would appreciate any guidance in this area.   Thank you!!!
