These charges are usually an all inclusive charges billed under PT/OT service Rev code in any acute Inpatient hospital or Rehab/SNF admissions. The hospital/facilities
calculate all these expenses into their billable rates in their chargemaster data.
I don't know how these items would be billed if the patient is receiving home PT services. The best reference would be CMS billing and reimbursement criteria for home health services.

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Patient Handling Equipment
Hi all!
Is there any way to charge the patient for patient handling equipment that is used? We would like to have available in each patient room a single patient use HoverMatt and/or slide sheet.
Unfortunately the expense would be too great if there is no way to charge it to the patient that it is used on.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Eileen
