Amy, there will be a session on this topic at the Denver AOHC. If you're attending, please come to that session. First 90 minutes are on preventing exposure, then after a break we have 90 minutes on medical surveillance, including a study done to survey what programs are actually doing. If you can't attend you may have a colleague from Hopkins who can. 

As for Vanderbilt, we do not do routine medical surveillance but we do post-exposure surveillance when there is a spill or other exposure event. (For reasons that will be discussed at the session.) 

You will find a wide variety of practices in this area.
