The conference committee is seeking CASL members to lead Roundtable
discussions or make Show and Tell Presentations at the upcoming
CASL/CECA Conference on Oct. 29.

Roundtables are held in the mezzanine area, where people register and
sign in. Each roundtable is scheduled for one concurrent session. If you
have an area of expertise, such as BYOD, ebooks, Summer Reading
programs, Battle of the Books, etc., please consider volunteering to
leading a Roundtable session on that topic. As a Roundtable leader, you
will facilitate a discussion with other people who are interested in the
topic. It's a great way to give something back to your peers, and to
share your expertise, and it will only require you to miss one of the
concurrent sessions.

Show and Tell presentations are in the Exhibit Hall during mid-day, when
no concurrent sessions are scheduled. A table and a monitor will be
provided, and this gives you a chance to show off an exciting project
you helped students at your school create. Examples of student work are
encouraged to be on display, in whatever form they were created in.
Anyone who is selected for a Show and Tell presentation gets a 50
percent discount on their conference registration. That discount is
limited to one person per presentation.

To volunteer to facilitate a Roundtable, please email me by August 15 at
bilmesd at newmilfordps.org.

To apply for a Show and Tell presentation, please complete this brief
application by August 15.

In the meantime, enjoy the final stretch of your summer. In my district,
we're back at work exactly three weeks from today.
