Blended Learning Boot Camp:
Extending Classes Online
Presented by Cathy Swan
This free professional learning community, with monthly webinars, will help
teachers learn how to use online learning tools to create a hybrid-learning
course.
Topics to be covered include the evolution and state of online learning,
eliminating barriers to blended learning programs, how to overcome access and
filtering issues for online learning platforms, teaching skills for 21st century
online learning, selecting a course platform, and the attributes and roles of
educators and students in a hybrid learning environment. The online community
will provide a forum for coaching and supporting teachers in their efforts to
integrate blended learning models into their classrooms.
Our webinar presenter is Cathy Swan, a technology integration teacher, who
collaborates with classroom teachers at New Canaan High School to integrate
technology into the curriculum to create hybrid courses.
Swan is a Google certified teacher and a member of the district ICT team awarded
honorable mentions in both the CoSN Team Award 2010 and ISTE's Sylvia Charp
Award for District Innovation in Technology, 2010.
As a member of the community, you'll be invited to a free webinar and live chat
each month that will touch on a different topic. You'll have access to all of
the recorded webinars, presentations, and resources, providing you with an
online learning center you can return to at any time. CE certificates are
provided for attending and viewing the webinars.
