Good morning!
Last spring, our district moved to Destiny Library Manager. Destiny has
interdistrict ILL options and we're looking to standardize how we handle
ILLs between our schools. We would appreciate your input as to how you
handle ILLs between schools. Some guiding questions are:
*

   - WHO CAN PLACE HOLDS?
   - 1. Can staff / faculty at your school place a hold on their own?
   - 2. Can staff/ faculty at other district schools place holds on their
   own?
   - 3. Can students at your school place a hold on their own?
   - 4. Can students at other district schools place holds on their own?
   - 5. Can only media specialists place holds, whether at their own school
or on materials at another district school?
   -
   - Is your ILL set for students to place a hold?
   - 3. Is your ILL set for only the media specialists to place holds?
   - Which materials can be requested?
   - 1. Do you make materials for pleasure reading available to other
schools? If so, do you lend to all levels (elementary, middle, high)?
   - 2.
   - 7) Is your ILL available to high school students outside of your
   school for projects?
   - only? High, middle, and elementary (like question number 2)

*

*

   - Do we maintain our current ILL process (teachers request thru LMS)?
   - Do we open ILL for staff only?
   - Do we open ILL for students? If so, what levels: high school only,
middle school & high school or all.
   - If we open to students and/or staff, what are the standard ILL
settings? (Prepare a draft instruction sheet if this is the recommendation)
   - Do we have sufficient staff to process ILLs?
   -
