> OK, I admit it.  I nearly missed the early bird deadline to register for the AASL 16th National Conference in Hartford, CT on November 14 – 17th.  It’s coming up fast, and the early bird deadline ends THURSDAY, AUGUST 22ND.  I just registered TODAY.  The good news is that registration is very strong, and it’s going to be a great conference.  I had to make several hard choices between pre-conferences, and I won’t tell which one I chose.   We’re going to learn a lot, we’re going to get up early and stay up late, we’re going to meet some great people, but most of all, we’re going to have fun.   It’s been a hard year for a lot of school librarians.  This conference is a gift you can give yourself, as a reward for everything you do for students and faculty.
