FW: [CASL-L] home for card catalog?

I have received an amazing number of responses -- all I can say is WOW!! Thank you to all who replied with creative ideas for using an old card catalog. And for the many, many people who offered to come and take it off my hands, thank you to you as well. I'm afraid to say that after consulting with my principal, who consulted with my superintendent, I am not authorized to give it away. It seems that they think it would be best for my principal to try and sell it on Craigslist or eBay and try to get a few hundred dollars for it. (I told him I wanted to use the money to buy eBooks -- ha, ha, we'll see!) Unfortunately for me though, creating a posting and dealing with interested buyers is not a high priority for my principal at the moment so in the meantime it stays where it is. I will save the emails from all those interested, and if anything changes I will let you know.
Thanks again!

Subject: [CASL-L] home for card catalog?

We are doing some cleaning and reorganizing for the start of school and
we have a card catalog (you know - the big wooden case with little
drawers with cards inside them, remember those?) that we would like
gone. Any ideas on finding a new home for it? What have other people
done? I hate to just pitch it because I feel like I have heard that some
people would actually want it, as in pay money or at least come pick it
up.
