[CASL-L] DLD Continuing Education Programs and alternate locations

We understand the difficulty people have getting time away from their own libraries for professional development opportunities. The DLD is currently looking into alternative sites at which to hold workshops and webinars. I tend to default to Middletown because it's centrally located within the state, thereby inconveniencing everyone equally.   :-)

Please note that typically, the webinars we purchase and host for a group can also be purchased individually, so if you really want to participate, but can't get away from your desk, you do have that option. When we host them, we purchase the group rate, which allows us to share the webinar with you, but we have to limit it to one location.

I try to post free, online webinars that you can access yourself on our CE calendar as I find them. If you go to our calendar<http://evanced.info/cslib/evanced/eventcalendar.asp>, those kinds of webinars are highlighted in yellow.

I just wanted to put it out there, but I am in Waterbury and can't make it to these far flung venues for webinars. Yet, there are many that I am interested in. Is there any discussion of being able to access webinars from remote locations (like our own schools)? Just throwing that out there :)
