The UP Series<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Up_Series> might be a good place to start.

It is a documentary series that revisits the lives of 14 British people every 7 years. I think the latest one is 56 UP (2012). Showing anyone of the later ones (28 UP and beyond) generally includes clips from earlier editions showing an individual's development over time.

Also: A Class Divided<http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/divided/> (1985) has the classic "blue eye/brown eye" experiment of Jane Eliot trying to teach an all-white group of 3rd graders about the effects of racism.

I hope this helps.

Subject: [CASL-L] Sociology DVDs

Good morning,

I am looking for DVDs for a teacher who is teaching a sociology class. Can anyone recommend some good DVDs that cover the topics of: culture, society and socialization? These can be separate DVDs.

Thank you.
