Digital Learning Day is a K-12 activity created by the Digital Learning Policy Center, a division of the Alliance for Excellent Education<http://www.digitallearningday.org/about-us/alliance-for-excellent-education/>. A proponent of effective application of technology in schools, the Center is based in Washington, DC and seeks to highlight the consequences of inaction and the need for stakeholders to address technology planning in schools systemically. The work of the Center includes activities, events and efforts including existing projects and expertise in major policy areas, such as deeper learning, linked learning, teacher effectiveness, English language learners and literacy, common core state standards implementation, and assessment/accountability.
