[CASL-L] Summer Reading

Look at the Nutmeg Teen and High School Book Award lists.  Teen is grades 6-8, High School 9-12.  Teen has been around for a few years, High School is in its first year.  
 
Also look at winners of YALSA's Printz and Nonfiction awards.  Bomb by Steve Sheinkin was the Nonfiction winner in 2013 and is excellent.

Our freshmen teachers are looking for a summer reading book for incoming freshmen.
 
They already have Cut and The Contender.
 
Any other ideas?  They are looking for fiction and non-fiction.
