We are delighted that the author, Lynda Mullaly Hunt, will join us for a discussion at the Sandwich Public Library about this award winning and beautifully written story of 12 year Carley's experience in foster care. Adults and children ages 10 and up are welcome to attend.
About the book: Carley needs a home while her mother recuperates from injuries from an abusive boyfriend.  She is taken in by the Murphy family with their three rambunctious young boys. Slowly, Carley finds her way into their lives and hearts - and she begins to open her heart to them.  The book is so moving and so insightful.  The issues of abuse are handled sensitively through a child's eyes.  Ages 10 and up. Book price $6.99
