We know you've all been anxiously waiting. The TOP SECRET 2015 Nutmeg Nominee Lists are now available for purchasing purposes!

These lists are available to CONNECTICUT SCHOOL MEDIA SPECIALISTS and PUBLIC LIBRARIANS ONLY. Please, PLEASE don't share it with the general public (students, parents, teachers, salespeople who aren't sponsors, etc.) until MAY 1, 2014.

If you would like to see the list, please send an email to: nutmeg.book.award at gmail.com and you will receive a response with a copy of the 2015 Elementary, Intermediate, Teen and High School Nominees. Yes, we now have 4 levels of Nutmeg books!

Thanks to all of you who do so much to make this award the amazing success it continues to be. More than 30,000 votes were received last year, and we launched our new High School list. This year, we premiere our newest level of Nutmegs, our Elementary list for grades 2-4! This brand new level contains 15 titles, including fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, and picture books. Please note that the Elementary list contains books available in hardcover, since they are intended as "shareable length titles." ALL the books for the other three levels will be available in paperback on or before May 1, 2014.

The 2015 Selection Chairs want to thank all their committee members (more than 50 Connecticut Librarians and Media Specialists, plus student readers) for the intense hard work it took to read more than 350 well reviewed titles from which these lists were selected.

If you have any further questions, please contact the appropriate chairperson (their names will be attached to the list you will receive) or visit the Nutmeg Book Award Website<http://nutmegaward.org> at nutmegaward.org<http://nutmegaward.org>. Please note that the 2015 books will NOT be listed on the website until May 1, 2015.

Sincerely,

Lisa Garofalo
Secretary, Nutmeg Book Award
