If you do nothing else this summer as far as PD, I urge you to take an hour out of your vacation and watch this presentation by Jennifer LaGarde to the School Librarians group at this week's ISTE Conference in Atlanta. It will make you laugh, and it will make you cry. And it will make you think:

By the way, ISTE will be in Philadelphia next year. If you've never attended this conference, I urge you to try to make it down there, even if just for a day. It's a great opportunity to interact with forward-thinking educators from all around the world, and there are hundreds of school librarians in attendance. There are tons of presentations, etc., which school librarians can benefit from, and a number of sessions specifically for school librarians. A highlight for me this year was the School Librarians Digital Playground, and numerous Poster Sessions I visited.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!
