I would highly encourage you to attend this summer's Teach Fest.

It is a win-win opportunity. Great PD, a $200 stipend, travel costs
reimbursed, great food and lots of networking.

After spending the last 8 weeks working with colleagues who experienced the
first Teach Fest, I can tell you I strengthened my instructional practice.

So, let's show CT Department of Ed that media specialists are integral
partners and have a major presence at this event.

See the flyer below:

I hope that you will consider joining myself and the other teachers of the
CT Dream Team for TeachFest Connecticut: Summer Academy on July 29th. This
is an all day event held at the Convention center in Hartford that you will
not want to miss. The staff at LearnZillion are taking the TeachFest
weekend that 100 CT teachers participated in this past spring and are
offering a condensed version through the Summer Academy.

Why should you participate?

   - You will have the choice to delve into math or ELA as your focus.
   - Food will be provided.
   - Transportation expenses will be reimbursed.
   - You can get a jump start on an upcoming task or lesson for the
   upcoming school year.
   - This PD opportunity could be included in your professional learning
   portfolio.
   - You will have the opportunity to network with about 1000 CT teachers.
   - You can also extend your experience if you decide by taking what you
start at the Summer Academy and create a final shared project for a $200
   stipend.
   - You will be showing the power of collaborating with media specialists

Please see me if you have any questions.

Add my name as the referral and we could all win a professional book!

I hope that we can get a good representation from CASL.
