[CASL-L] RE: SBAC testing

We are a 6-8 school. All students are testing both Math, ELA and performance task for both. Our testing starting March 25th and will extend to May 16th. Our administration is hugely supportive of the LMC program, and therefore testing is not being conducted in the LMC. Info Literacy classes were pushed into the LMC two periods a day. I'll take this as it gives me time to collaborate more with the technology teacher (she is only here 2 periods a day). It is better than losing the LMC to testing. I am looking at this in the most positive way.....

If you have had a chance to look at the SBAC at all, they have some great source evaluation questions and other questions where students have to look at passages from two sources and then choose the sentence that summarizes information from both. Oh, and not to mention the items where students have to read notes taken from a source and then use them to answer questions.

All 6-8th graders. Math and ELA. LMC is closed for the rest of the year. Sigh.
