We are doing several different things:

Our School tested only 10th graders for CAPT SCIENCE TESTING on one day in March, by using a number of classrooms in a wing of the building, running a normal day for everyone else and then just pulling out the students to testing. Our testing percentage results for this was 99.8, with just ONE 10th grade STUDENT not being able to be tested during the time period allowed.

Mid March our school ran a SMARTER BALANCE TEST RUN for about an hour. They had 4 or 5 classes come to the Library to log into a sample test for SMARTER BALANCE to see if we would be able to connect 100 CHROMEBOOKS WIRELESSLY to do the test all at the same time with the rest of the school running a normal day. It did work with only a few minor tech issues which were resolved (or a few chromebooks replaced).

In April, for 3 days, during the week before our April Vacation, and 4 days during the week following our April Vacation, and 2 days the last week in April, our Guidance Department has arranged to run our school days normally but are closing the Library and using the Library with 100 CHROMEBOOKS (Chromebooks were acquired, some for each building in the district through an SBAC Grant) wirelessly connecting. They will be pulling out and testing all 10th and 11th graders to do this testing during those 9 days in April. Our school has time periods set up all day log to continue testing set groups of students, alphabetically by their last name.

Our Guidance Dept. has been working closely with Administration and with State Contacts. Our schedule was just revised last week from two complete weeks to the 9 days over three weeks. (For instance, April 10th, the test website will not be available, so they skipped that date and Apr.11th is our Teacher Professional Development/NEASC/CURRICULUM workday. And then we were only informed within the last week that certain parts had to be taken before other parts. Some parts have to be done on the same day, etc.
