We are testing grades 7 and 8, all tests. We have 7th testing first and then 8th after. We have roughly 600 students. Testing will run about 2.5 weeks. We started this past Tuesday. Lots of trouble with ipads freezing etc on Tuesday but figured out some work around and troubleshooting cheat sheet for iPads and since then pretty smooth. I have used ipads and computers and there definitely have been more issues with ipads. But we're working through them.

Our school is utilizing 120 or so iPads, a cart of 30 Macbooks and 3 computer labs. We move the ipads on carts from one 7th grade team to an eighth grade team after first testing session. Then they get charged up. The district invested in styli and plug and play Logitech keyboards as well as more headphones so we could test an entire grade at a time and utilize the iPads.

The computer lab assistant, computer instructional specialist/teacher and assistant principal have done the bulk of the work. They set up a Today's Meet classroom where we could post questions during the testing when glitches arose and problem solve tech issues together virtually. Also admin or tech support could then come help if needed. Afterwards the computer specialist made a cheat sheet with problem/solutions from it for the next day.

They (admin) decided to let the LMC not be a testing site so there'd be access to books and computers. Very thoughtful! I am testing kids in another area from 9 to 12 everyday but my assistant handles book checkouts and teachers/students not testing can use library computers (16) and the ten library ipads and keyboards.

When it has been quiet, my assistant has been working on a weeding project.

I schedule myself around testing or try to do one class to model and show teachers so they can continue on while I'm testing if they are not.
