Kristie,
Good Morning! Thank you for asking this question. We open at 7 am and close
at 4 pm M - F except Wed. On Wed., we have professional time in the
afternoon, so the library is open until 3 pm. We are fortunate to have two
full time librarians and two full-time media aides (they are permanent and
not pulled for other duties). Hours for the media aides are staggered: 7 am
- 2 pm and 7:30 - 2:30 pm. They help manage the library floor and
circulation. From 2:15 - 2:30 (except Wed - staff leaves at 1 pm) is a
transition time where the library "closes" and homework center begins.
Homework Center is staffed by two teaching assistants from 2:30 - 4 pm and
12:50 to 3 pm on Wed. Librarians' contracted hours are 7:15 - 2:45 pm. We
are usually here by 7 am and stay until 3:30/4 pm (depending on club
meetings and after school responsibilities).
