Here’s the catch . . . to pass, Sen. Whitehouse’s pro-library, pro-librarian amendment needs at least 13 other Senators on the Committee to vote with him on Tuesday.

NOW is the time to make a difference—and you will!

Your Senator is on the HELP Committee  and we need you to call or email them. Tell whoever answers that you’d like to speak with the “education staffer.” Tell them, or their voice mail if necessary, how important school librarians are to students’ education and futures. Then ask your Senator to tell Sen. Whitehouse that they will support his “school library amendment” to ESEA. It’s easy and it’s absolutely critical.

School libraries and library jobs are in your hands. PLEASE CALL and get anybody else who cares about school libraries or education in your state to call as well. The Committee votes start 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday. Act now!
