Hello Everyone,

My district is moving to a one-to-one laptop computer model for students, and we are discussing changes to the library media program to support and work in this model. We're looking most closely at the middle school level to implement changes in teaching/learning, programming, collaboration with classroom teachers, and even the use of the physical space.

Are there any middle school library media specialists out there who are currently working in a district with a one-to-one model? Would you be willing to share your experiences with us in Newington? I would appreciate any input, ideas, or caveats that you might have. If you feel that you have a program that successfully integrates one-to-one technology and information literacy, I would be very interested in talking with you or possibly even visiting your school.

Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Sincerely,
Nicole Kuca
