[CASL-L] headphones/mice

Our school buys one pair per student (very inexpensive - I can provide vendor if needed). Initially it was an investment, but each year the headphones are passed along to the next year's teacher to be re-used. Therefore, we are at the point where we purchase headphones only for kindergarten each year. They are stored in the gallon size zip lock bags. The bags are replaced each year and labeled with student and classroom teacher name. This works really well and head lice are no longer a problem in the computer lab. Furthermore, everyone has their own to use in the lab or with our mobile carts when needed for testing, etc.

One advantage to a form of zip lock bags is that, if headphones are left in the bag for 24 hours, all "vermin" will be killed! Head lice are a real problem with shared headphones.
