Until BMHS adds money to the budget for a library and its resources they could tap into the sources provide be Bridgeport Library. It looks like they have some excellent resources for their patrons. Students will probably need a library card for many of the resources but that would be a good lesson in itself that libraries have a lot to over virtually beyond what’s instead the building.

Subject: [CASL-L] High School Looking for Books for Classroom Libraries

A recently opened Bridgeport Magnet High School has the latest in technology tools but no books for their library or classroom libraries and little money to spare, outside of grant money that has been designated for science and technology. Other than ICONN, which will be of help to them with e-books, are their any suggestions that can help them start to build a library collection to serve the literacy needs of students at this urban school.
