[CASL-L] Book series reviews

Hi everyone,
I recently picked up a copy of the book Janitors Curse of the Broomstaff. I didn't realize this is book 3 of a series.
Before I order the previous two books, I wanted to get some feedback from anyone who has the first one or two books.
I'm in a middle school (gr. 7 & 8) that's pretty diverse in their reading choices. Most seem to favor realistic fiction as opposed to magic, fantasy, etc., but that's overall.
The reviews for the first book were pretty favorable, but I like to get others thoughts who have had the book in their collections.
