[CASL-L] Fwd: [Conntech] Proposed Budget Eliminates CEN?

Hi All:  I don’t know if you have seen this or if you are aware, but in addition to eliminating CLC, the proposed budget also eliminates CEN.  If your school is getting its Internet connection through CEN, this affects you.  Please raise awareness with your staff, your tech people and etc.

    Since I haven’t seen this posted and it affects everyone, I thought I would post it. I just say this yesterday (thanks to a little birdie who pointed me in the right direction).
The Governor’s Proposed budget will eliminate funding for CEN.

The network provides schools and libraries with subsidized internet access.”
 
That means the Fiber and RLAN DSL you currently have will need to be paid by YOU!!!!
