Barbara,

Are you familiar with Orca Books <http://us.orcabook.com/>? Search for
"Orca books publisher." The company is out of Canada. Heard about this
company during a webinar for reluctant readers several years ago. Orca
publishes high interest books for teens with low reading levels (RL as low
as grade 2). One of our teachers has used *Slick* for several years now. Here's

I'm quite sure you'll find something at Orca that your student will enjoy
and that will please Mom too!
