[CASL-L] Policy for disposing of weeded books

?I'm in the midst of a massive weeding project. But my principal doesn't want me to donate/dispose, etc. the books I'm weeding until we have an official district policy in place for doing so. Our district does have a policy for disposition of outdated books, but it specifically refers to "outdated textbooks" and doesn't mention library materials.

We have a Selection Policy, so I'm not looking for that. But if anyone has a specific district policy for disposal/donation, etc., of weeded library books, I'd love to see it if you're willing to share.

Happy School Library Month!

"My school library was a place where I could escape to. . .There were days during high school in which I spent more time inside my school's library than I did at home where often only chaos reined.."
