My principal is on board with my getting more involved in collaborating with teachers on research projects. We've discussed implementing assured research experiences, where I would work with all of the 9th graders on a research project in one subject area, with all of the 10th graders on a research project in another subject area, etc. She's giving me a chance to discuss this with the department chairs at a meeting next week.
I know many high schools in our state already do this, if not for every grade level, at least for some. New Canaan High, for example, has an assured research experience with the freshman health classes that involves the technology teacher, the LMS and the health teachers. If you have any assured research experiences already implemented in your high school, please share the details with me. The more I can document this taking place at other high schools in our state, the better argument I can make.
Also, I'd like to convince our school to try using a Citation/Note Taking tool such as Noodle Tools. Please let me know if you school uses one of those sites, and if so, which one.
I have created a Google Doc?<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_-dfKs3Mrsp5qI6g7Fgdw3mobarKnLik-V3UAzYaUTc/edit?usp=sharing> for the responses, and will be happy to share the results with the listserv.

"My school library was a place where I could escape to. . .There were days during high school in which I spent more time inside my school's library than I did at home where often only chaos reined.."
