The State Department of Education is working with a number of stakeholders, including the general public, to translate the ESSA framework into initiatives at the state level. If community leaders have interest in influencing the development of these programs and allocations, I would recommend responding to the SDE survey posted here:

I just accidentally hit "send" before composing my message. Does any one have anything to share about what is being done to promote ESSA within the New England states? Not necessarily legislatively, but within your communities. I'll be speaking to a journalist later today about a few things, but she also asked about this, and I don't have all that much to offer. I am happy to refer her to someone else on this.
