Good Afternoon,

I serve as Chair on the CDLAB (CT Digital Library Advisory Board) and have
had an exciting conversation about using student voice to help the CT State
Library rebrand itself and provide a marketing campaign for the new
www.researchitct.org platform.

The discussion yesterday was about how to connect the public with the
resources available through the State Public Library System, especially the
online resources available at www.iconn.org (moving to www.researchitct.org
)

I hoped to bring to the next CDLAB meeting (April 6) some examples of
STUDENT PRODUCED informational videos or commercials, advertising the NEW
CT State Library Resources… the ads would need to include:

· The new logo

· The new website names

· The resources found for different types of libraries

· How are kids using these resources for school/home

The Board would then pick the best videos from an Elementary, Middle, and
High school level and use it in the rebranding campaign when the transition
is complete!

If you are interested, please email me and I will give you access to a
shared Google folder with resources and a place to submit your student’s
work.

Please don’t hesitate to email any questions you have!
