> This week AASL Standards & Guidelines Editorial Board chairperson Marcia Mardis posted to the Knowledge Quest website an update on the standards and guidelines revision project and the research that is underway. This post includes an infographic developed by the Editorial Board that illustrates several interesting high-level findings from an online survey with AASL membership and the profession.
>
> The Editorial Board used the findings from the online survey to determine key areas for subsequent focus group discussion. These discussions began in November 2015 at the AASL 17th National Conference & Exhibition. Throughout spring 2016, AASL will continue to hold focus group discussions at select state affiliate conferences.
>
> Analysis of the national conference focus groups findings has already begun. However, a full analysis will take place this summer after all of the focus groups are completed. The Editorial Board will then share a summary of findings with members and the profession in the fall.
>
> More information about the standards revision and remodeling process can be found at Your Voice, Your Standards.
