Hello CASL friends,
Our middle school is
considering a One Book, One School endeavor for this coming
school year. We are in the beginning stages and have
not even picked our book yet. We are looking at middle
school appropriate books with a service learning
or kindness theme. Drums, Girls & Dangerous
Pie is at the top of the list at the moment. We
are hoping to follow the reading with a guest speaker or
assembly.
I’m writing in
case you or your school has any interest in book-sharing.
We have about 400 students, and in the past the school
purchased books for all or most students. Last year
all students read the book
Wonder. There was the idea that if another
school did the same, we could trade books on alternating
years.
It’s a thought, and
if you are interested, please let me know.
Happy Friday!
Thank you,
Marybeth
