Hi,
Now that we are in the "21st century" there are lots of items I would like
to purchase that will be housed and signed out in school library/Learning
Commons that do not fit the line budget items of either the library budget
or our audio/visual budget. Additionally, I don't have a technology
budget. This is handled by the district tech department director who
purchases computers, printers, cables, laptops, etc... for our district.
The items are things like: document cameras, charging stations, ebook
readers, robots, robotics kits, Arduino products, etc... When I want to
order such items I get push back from the business office.
So my question is where are all of you putting such items? Do you have a
specific line item under your library budgets? Does anyone have an AV
budget anymore? If so, what do you use the money for? Do you put in
requests with your tech director for some of these items? Any assistance
anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. :)
