> AASL Seeks Gaming Proposals
> AASL seeks proposals for sessions on tabletop and/or digital gaming to be presented during GAME | Gaming as Meaningful Education taking place Sept. 23-24, 2016, in Rochester, NY. Co-sponsored by the ALA Games and Gaming Round Table (GameRT), GAME will focus on how games encourage critical thinking, problem solving and creative activities. To submit a proposal, visit www.ala.org/aasl/rfp.
>
> During GAME, a new two-day event from AASL, attendees will have opportunities for interactive learning, networking and an exhibition all designed to support and provide best practices around gaming in school libraries. Sessions taking place during GAME will allow presenters to share these best practices in a hands-on format. Presentations will be one hour in length and should offer attendees a takeaway for implementation in their own programs.
>
> AASL will consider presentations from all types of libraries, but those that appeal to a broad audience are preferred. Proposals should reflect an electronic presentation with eye-appealing visuals. A digital or print take-away is encouraged. Presenters will be supplied with a laptop, large screen, projector, table and chair. Proposals must be submitted by end of day Thursday, June 30.
