*Creative Computing*
*August 8–11, 2016 | Cambridge, MA*

Many young people interact with computers as consumers rather than as
designers. With an increased necessity for students to be literate in

institute is a new program for all educators interested in introducing
computation in their classroom context in an engaging and playful way.

Through activities and workshops, participants will individually and
collaboratively develop an action plan to support young learners as
computational creators in the classroom.

*In this program, you will:*

   - *DEVELOP* strategies and resources for including creative computing in
   the K–12 classroom.
   - *ENGAGE* in small-group and whole-group reflections to analyze and
   discuss the learning experiences.
   - *MAKE* connections to a community of educators committed to broadening
   participation in computing.
   - *BUILD* comfort and confidence with the Scratch authoring environment
that engages learners in computer programming.
