Try using researchIT CT (the old name…iCONN). You should be able to find nonfiction essays in OneSearch. I did a quick check using the keywords New Yorker and David Sedaris and New Yorker and Malcom Gladwell and both produced results. The databases in research IT CT are free.

Subject: [CASL-L] AP English nonfiction essays

Yet another question for the collective brain! Can anyone recommend a database/subscription with nonfiction essays? I am trying to help an English teacher who is new to teaching AP English Language and Composition. (but all of my English teachers now want to access more nonfiction)
I have many wonderful print essays that I am sharing with her, but she would love to have digital access. I have already shared our history databases with primary sources.
I am guessing that she will have to access authors such as Sedaris and Gladwell with "one book one device" ebooks.
Thanks- Barb Lyons
