[CASL-L] Adding Teacher Copies To The Library Collection/Reserves

Colleagues,

What is the copyright law as it pertains to teacher copies supplied by the publisher?   My understanding is that you cannot add such copies to your library collection.  We have a teacher who wants to put his teacher copy on reserve for student use. Is this permissible under copyright law? Thank you.
