Hi Loretta -

For general reference (all subjects): Grolier and a few specific Marshall
Cavendish databases

For what I think of as sources of pro/con issues info: SIRS Knowledge
Source, Facts on File Issues & Controversies, and CQ Researcher

For global studies: Culturegrams, Gale Global Issues, and Country Reports
(Country Reports costs less than $100!)

History: SIRS Decades

We also have Testing & Education Reference Center (I can't say enough good
things about this database! Practice tests, online prep books, and more
for SAT, PSAT, AP, ACT testing as well as career exploration resources,
scholarship search, resume builder and more...)

I've been cutting down on databases and replacing many of them with
e-reference books. Several of the reference publishers (like Salem) offer a
deal where you buy the reference set in print format and get the e-version
free. So I've been building up my history, English, science, and math
digital offerings that way and it's saving quite a bit of money.
