[CASL-L] consequences if students always forget their email

No formulaic passwords for our MS students--they hack each other's accounts.

We reset students passwords every year. Last year when we thought forgetting would be a problem, we kept a spreadsheet of all the times we had to reset threatening that the third time would be an infraction report--it never came to that.

Our students have a formulaic password too - last name first initial grad year @ - the password is tricky and can't be changed - we tell our students to take a pic with their phones so they always have it on them. I have a master list printed and on the computer, but they rarely ask.

My students are issued number-color-animal passwords (ex. 4brownmice) when they enroll in the district. They can't change them or else they can't get into Google or Powerschool. Years ago, before we had this, I had access to the active directory and could reset their passwords. A teacher could just call me and I could reset the password immediately and get the student in. It only happened a couple of times a week.

Does anyone have any official consequences if students constantly forget (on purpose) thier google passwords?
