[CASL-L] author visits

Hi!  Has anyone hosted an author in residence program?  We are looking to have an author visit (grades k-6) that also involves smaller workshops for students.  Possibly have it run over a few days.  Would love any suggestions and recommendations from the group for authors and programs!
