The ACES Alternate Route to Certification for Library Media Specialists (ARCLMS), http://www.aces.org/arclms, is looking for current school library media specialists to host cohort participants for field experiences as part of program requirements for cross-endorsement. The requirements for participants are listed below.

If you are interested in hosting, please fill out the form at this link: https://goo.gl/forms/IN3oG1EaB3D0Q3Um2.

ARCLMS participants are required to participate in a minimum of 18 hours of field experiences in settings as follows:

* 6 hours in an elementary school (PK-5)

*         6 hours in a middle school (6-8)

*         6 hours in a high school (9-12)

During each field experience, participants will actively engage with the host LMS and with students. Engagement may include the following experiences:

*         Plan and/or implement lessons

*         Conduct read-alouds

* Model or support the use of technology

* Examine and discuss curricular documents/resources

* Organize collections using specific cataloging and classification systems

* Review budgets, budgeting procedures and resource acquisition processes

* Other experiences agreed upon by participant and host LMS

All field experiences must be completed during the regular school day in order to maximize opportunities to work with/observe/interact with students in schools.
