[CASL-L] children's book suggestion

Hello,


One of our teachers is looking for a children's picture book to read aloud to her class on Read Across America day next week that tie in with the books they are actually reading in class.  Usually I can come up with suggestions, but the books they are reading right now in class have me stumped.  So, I am looking for help!  Does anyone have any suggestions for picture books that would somehow relate to either A Separate Peace or The Glass Castle??
