We retired our Flip Cameras (gave them to the intermediate school) and purchased a bunch of small handheld Sony HandyCams. They aren’t as EASY as a FlipCam, but they are WAY better. They still have a USB cable and a microSD card as well, so students here are capable of putting the SD card into their Chromebooks and moving their videos to Google Drive. They take AMAZING video and can zoom in beyond your wildest dreams! ☺

Subject: [CASL-L] Flip Video Cameras and Alternatives

Here's another question...we currently have 7 Flip Video Cameras for teachers and students to sign out in the LMC. One of my teachers loves them as she can immediately get the recording off it - as compared to letting students use their own phones to record and them forgetting to submit it, claiming something went wrong with the recording, etc.

Well, a couple of them have broken and I'm looking to replace them. Does anyone have experience with these OR another product that they like more than Flip? I think the teachers like the USB aspect and that it can just plug right into their computer...

Thanks in advance!
