[CASL-L] Book Suggestions?

BIG YES for Spare Parts.  That is one of my favorite books, especially working in a very diverse district.  (Note:  the movie sends a very different message; go with the book.)

It may be a bit of a stretch for 10th grade, but I'd also recommend Creativity, Inc., about how Pixar's business model encourages thinking outside the box.  Lots of backstory about some of the films.

 Can you help?  I had great
 responses to my other inquiry.  This time I have a 10th
 grade English teacher looking for books centered around the
 themes of "Oppression" and
 "Non-conformity" for STEM class (mostly
  comprised of boys).  We were looking for suggestions with
 male protagonists.  Please let me know if you have any
 suggestions!  I have a few ides so far, but would like to
