Looking for an author visit this year?
Connecticut native and author Marc Tyler Nobleman had a historic year - one
of his books (*Bill the Boy Wonder*) inspired the first-ever documentary
based on children's nonfiction (*Batman & Bill*). Also, his first picture
book comedy (*The Chupacabra Ate the Candelabra*) came out.
He's speaking in CT schools the week of 12/4/17 and has one slot left,
either 12/6 or 12/7. Multiple schools can split him for a day. His
presentation thrives on the element of surprise so he requires NO prep
work.
We had him visit our school last year and his presentation kept the 7th and
8th grade students interested. He appeals to the history lovers, the
lovers of comics and those that enjoy writing. Our history teachers were
impressed by his presentation and the connection to historical events and I
was able to talk about the research process with my classes after his
presentation.
*If potentially interested, please email him ASAP: mtnobleman at gmail.com
