[CASL-L] Book donations

Hi everyone,
My library was renovated over the summer and when it was done, I wound up
with a lot less shelf space, which was actually a good thing,
This forced me to do some serious weeding of my non fiction collection
(somewhere around 50 boxes worth--and not copy paper box size either).
While the overwheleming majority of these will be discarded or recycled, I
have been saving some for possible donations.
I plan on distributing some to local public libraries that I know have used
book sales. Is any one else aware of any organizations which might take
them (and if I could get some money for them, all the better).
Among the books I have are sets of books on various countries. Intially I
was going to donate these too, but looking at the copyright dates, they are
around 1995. Does anyone think these would be acceptable to donate, or are
they just too outdated?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Chris
