I've loved having a Tinkerine Ditto Pro (2 years old now) in our centrally-located library. It's been very easy to use and reliable. No problems with it at all.

Engineering and CAD projects use all the school's 3-D printers, including ours. Students who may never have seen a 3-D printer get to watch things being printed and ask questions. I am fortunate to have a senior with extensive 3-D print knowledge who guides curious students through the print process from downloading to converting/editing to transferring to printing (around Engineering and CAD projects, which of course are given priority).

Subject: [CASL-L] 3D printer

I’d like to get a 3D printer in our elementary school makerspace- suggestions on the best make and model for an elementary school for basic 3D printing? It will be housed in the library but I want to get a cart so teachers can borrow it. Also some come with curriculum, what are your experiences with that? We have funding to purchase but I’m not sure what future funding will look like.
