Dear colleagues,

I hope you have already done this, but the State Department of Education is
asking for you input on the adoption of Computer Science standards.

In Connecticut, our academic standards describe what we believe every
student should know and be able to do by the time they exit the K-12
education system. Collectively, state standards define what Connecticut
believes to be a well-rounded education. Connecticut is considering
adopting the CSTA Computer Science Standards for K-12 Education (2017)
<https://www.csteachers.org/page/standards>. As part of the adoption
process the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) would like
your input regarding the quality of the standards. Please take a moment to
review the standards and complete the survey
<https://sdect.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3UxfmCXMhIO6MtL> by February
16, 2018.

Please, share this with other stakeholders in your school community. The
more input, the better.

Best, Jenny
