[CASL-L] research question

On the concept of speed dating....
When students are selecting topics, I arrange an array of books on tables.
I use a timer and students stay at a table for a set amount of time looking
over the books.  When time's up they rotate to the next table.
Students write topics that interest them on a "grocery list".
Students are then able to do a quick overview of the topic to make their
final topic selection within a day or two.
